Possible mouse dehydration?

Poor cage conditions maybe? Neglect, or the nursing mother mouse could have gotten protective and killed the other one because she got too close. Nursing mothers should be put in a different cage to avoid fights, and the babies being eaten. It isn't likely that she died of dehydration from one day.
